Look Up!

A grey day but lo!  A tree is ablaze dressed in all its variations of red and orange on this fall day.  This showy specimen was so intense it just wouldn’t or couldn’t be ignored.

Seeing Red

The fleeting foliage of fall.  A veritable smorgasbord of polychrome hues.  Intense, vibrant and, when in the varying arrays which we call “red”, it can appear to be the proverbial “burning bush.”  A nearby farm ablaze in scarlet, from the barns to the bushes to the trees, simply wouldn’t be ignored.  What a beautiful Rustic Chic scene!

Downcast Eyes

Money may not grow on trees, but at this time of year gemstones do.  A visit to a friend’s home after a recent rain shower revealed a cornucopia of color in the form of a jewel-toned carpet unfurled along the blue flagstone path.  Our usual collective tendency is to look upward to the trees during autumn to enjoy the changing colors, but as these photos show, sometimes it’s Rustic Chic to have downcast eyes.
