Abstraction and Color in Rustic Chic

As I was supping at the breakfast table last evening my eyes kept studying the red wood barn that sits next to our stone barn.  And I kept on staring at the weathered red beadboard siding and the striped orientation of their boards.  The result is this striped gazar gown shown above.   I was moved to draw it graphically and abstractly.  Who knew a barn could be so inspiring?

  1. Hi Jim. We’re in Hunterdon County NJ, about an hour from the city. Susan commutes there every day and I go in twice a week. Hope all is well. Thanks. Joel
